    A) Arbitration Related Litigation<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u2013 Advised and acted for a Singapore-incorporated worldwide distributor of sports-related content in an application to resist the enforcement of a foreign arbitral award of around US$ 5 million in Singapore. The arbitration which involved several parties from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East and an underlying contract governed by the Law of Mauritius, was seated in Mauritius and conducted under LCIA-MIAC rules.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Advised and acted for a high net worth PRC client to resist the enforcement of a HKIAC award in excess of US$ 130 million brought by subsidiaries of a Fortune 500 MNC. The matter involved issues of foreign direct investment under Chinese Law and the arbitration was seated in Hong Kong SAR and was under HKIAC rules.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    B) International Arbitration<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u2013 Advised and acted for a leading Thai Beverage And Alcohol Conglomerate in its dispute with its European Joint Venture Partner. The amount in dispute was in excess of US$500 million. The Joint Venture Agreement (\u201cJVA\u201d) was governed by Singapore Law, the seat of arbitration was London and the arbitration was under ICC Arbitration Rules.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Advised the buyers of a former Singapore subsidiary of a French Company in its dispute with the vendors. The Sale and Purchase Agreement was governed by Singapore Law. The seat of the arbitration was in Paris and the arbitration was under ICC Arbitration Rules.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    C) Domestic Arbitration<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u2013 Acted for the main contractor for the taxiway of Changi Airport in its dispute with the pavement subcontractor. The amount in dispute was in excess of S$75 million.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Acted for the main contractor of an international business park in its contractual dispute with the Developer (a government linked company) over piling works carried out by the piling contractor. The amount in dispute was in excess of S$50 million. The building contract incorporated the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (\u201cPSSCOC\u201d).<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Acted for a specialist piling subcontractor in its dispute with the main contractor of a condominium in respect piling works and other substructure works carried out by the specialist subcontractor. The amount in dispute was in excess of S$50 million. The piling subcontract incorporated the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Sub-Contract.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Acted for the main contractor of a government school redevelopment project. The plumbing and sanitary subcontractor (\u201cthe Subcontractor\u201d) commenced statutory adjudication proceedings against our client for alleged outstanding payments arising from perceived variations. The said adjudication application was dismissed completely. On our advice, the main contractor then commenced arbitration proceedings against the Subcontractor and successfully obtained damages in excess of $2million for delays and defective work. Amount in dispute was approximately $3million.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Successfully resisted the aforesaid Subcontractor\u2019s application to High Court for leave to appeal against the arbitral award.<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Successfully resisted the aforesaid Subcontractor\u2019s subsequent appeal to the Court of Appeal against the High Court\u2019s decision to refuse leave to appeal against the arbitral award.<\/p>\n

    \u672c\u5f8b\u5e08\u9986\u6709\u4fe1\u5fc3\u80fd\u6709\u6548\u5904\u7406\u590d\u6742\u3001\u9ad8\u98ce\u9669\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u548c\u672c\u5730\u4ef2\u88c1\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u66fe\u63a5\u6536\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u5ba2\u6237\u5305\u62ec\u6765\u81ea\u4e2d\u56fd\u3001\u97e9\u56fd\u548c\u65e5\u672c\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u627f\u5305\u5546\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u6765\u81ea\u4e1c\u76df\u56fd\u5bb6\u3001\u5370\u5ea6\u6b21\u5927\u9646\u3001\u592a\u5e73\u6d0b\u5c9b\u5c7f\u3001\u5357\u7f8e\u6d32\u548c\u897f\u6b27\u7684\u8de8\u56fd\u4f01\u4e1a\u548c\u98ce\u9669\u8d44\u672c\u5bb6\u3002\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u3001\u82f1\u683c\u5170\u548c\u5a01\u5c14\u58eb\u3001\u9999\u6e2f\u3001\u5370\u5ea6\u5c3c\u897f\u4e9a\u3001\u97e9\u56fd\u3001\u9a6c\u6765\u897f\u4e9a\u3001\u6bdb\u91cc\u6c42\u65af\u3001\u7f05\u7538\u3001\u8d8a\u5357\u7b49\u5730\u57df\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e0e\u8be5\u5730\u62e5\u6709\u7ba1\u8f96\u6743\u7684\u6267\u4e1a\u5df2\u5efa\u7acb\u4e86\u826f\u597d\u8054\u7cfb\u3002\u6545\u6b64\uff0c\u5373\u4fbf\u6709\u5173\u6cd5\u5f8b\u95ee\u9898\u6d89\u53ca\u5916\u56fd\u6cd5\u6cbb\u56e0\u7d20\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f9d\u7136\u80fd\u4e3a\u60a8\u63d0\u4f9b\u6700\u5408\u9002\u7684\u56e2\u961f\u4e0e\u6700\u4f73\u7684\u6cd5\u5f8b\u54a8\u8be2\u3002<\/p>\n

    \u6211\u4eec\u90fd\u80fd\u6709\u6548\u5904\u7406\u6d89\u53ca\u5404\u4e2a\u884c\u4e1a\u7684\u7ea0\u7eb7\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u5305\u62ec\u5efa\u7b51\u5de5\u7a0b\u3001\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u7a0b\u5e8f\u3001\u80fd\u6e90\u548c\u81ea\u7136\u8d44\u6e90\u3001\u56fd\u9645\u8d38\u6613\u3001\u4ea4\u901a\u3001\u901a\u8baf\u3001\u98df\u54c1\u548c\u996e\u6599\u7b49\u884c\u4e1a\u3002<\/p>\n
